Stuart Turton, The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle

About: An amnesiac who keeps waking up in different bodies is tasked with solving a murder to escape from a creepy English estate.

Verdict: Okay, the hook is good, and this is a very clever book, but it is also absurdly complicated, with a large cast of characters whose underlying identities keep shifting. Much too much work to be an enjoyable read. Halfway through, I wanted to stop reading, but sunk costs prevented it.
