Peter James, John Grebble is Gone

About: John Grebble's routine life is upended one morning when his bank notifies him that he is deceased.

Verdict: This short story is mildly entertaining and written well enough, but I can't imagine I'll remember much about it by next month. The bulk of it, too, reads like a nightmare—the modern nightmare of having your identity obliterated through some kind of computer glitch or identity theft and running into walls with every attempt to fix it. Which makes for a frustrating read rather than a pleasant one.
