Walter Tevis, The Man Who Fell to Earth

About: An extraterrestrial lands on Earth and sets to work on the project he’s been preparing for most of his life.

Verdict: Readable and intriguing. We know from the start that Newton isn’t human. The pleasure comes in seeing the author develop what an alien’s experience on Earth might be like and watching as the few people close to him wrestle with their doubts and concerns.
