Verdict: This was an amazing novel. Character-driven, highly descriptive, and slow in the best way, but at the same time filled with tension. It's a novel to leave readers thinking—about the narrator's relationship to her husband, about how she shrinks in the world, about who we're rooting for in the novel and why. And this Esperanto translation was a joy to read.
